Over the past decade, many organisations have trained their managers and employees to understand, appreciate and develop their cultural intelligence quotient (CQ). Cultural intelligence is directly linked to emotional intelligence, allowing people with higher levels of cultural intelligence to understand better, respect, and be attuned to the values, beliefs, attitudes, and communication of people from different cultures.

Being more culturally aware and developing cultural intelligence will allow you to use this knowledge to help you relate to others from different backgrounds with greater empathy and understanding.
